INTENT |
At Brunswick, we believe every child deserves the best possible start in life. We use a personalised approach ensuring all children feel safe, secure and happy. These are the essential building blocks for children to flourish, thrive and reach their full potential. We aim to embed positive learning attitudes and behaviours that children can continue to use and develop throughout their lives. IMPLEMENTATION |
The children are at the centre of all that we do. Our flexible and adaptable approach to teaching and learning enables us to meet the individual needs of all of our children so that they can make the best possible progress and achieve their personal goals. We strive to build excellent relationships with families and children and through those partnerships and our personalised 'Guardian Angel' approach we ensure no child is left behind. We have engaging, purposeful environments in school which, alongside cooperative learning structures; Mastery and Teach to the Top approaches, provide children with ownership of their learning. The Brunswick Rucksack helps equip the children with the essential skills to be lifelong learners. From their early steps into school life in Nursery, through to being Key Stage 2 ready, our dedicated, highly skilled staff are able to develop children’s independence, resilience and teamwork. We are situated in the picturesque Eden Valley and incorporate the outdoors into our learning opportunities and enjoy taking part in a Forest Schools programme and plan for local visits and visitors to bring our curriculum to life. |
IMPACT |
Children will feel safe, secure and happy and proud to be part of Brunswick School. They will be independent learners with an ever-growing love of learning. With support and encouragement, they will have confidence in their own ability and won’t give up when things get tricky. The skills and knowledge that they have developed at Brunswick School will prepare them for a successful transition into Key Stage 2 and beyond. With our ethos and child centred approach, we provide a nurturing environment where children can blossom into unique, well-rounded individuals. |
