Hello! Thank you for visiting our page. This year Dobby’s Den is being used as a Year 1 Learning Group classroom ran by the wonderful Mrs Taylor. She is helped every day by the class mascot Dobby the red dragon who lives in the classroom castle with his friends Goldie, Duke, Duncan and Toothless. Dobby and his friends like to have lots of fun and help the children whenever they are finding something a little tricky.
In Dobby's Den we believe we learn best when activities are real, relevant and fun! The children enjoy hands-on, active experiences and our teachers know that learning in this way through play is exciting and engaging. Along with the computers and interactive plasma, the children have access to different areas to help us practise and 'show off' their knowledge, skills and understanding in a fun and practical way.
The children have lots of fun together and our teachers are proud of the care and kindness we show to each other and everyone else in our school. In Dobby's Den, we all use our teamwork and helping hands from our resilience rucksack fantastically to support each other in our independent challenges across the curriculum areas.
Dobby’s Den is a happy, vibrant place to learn! In the afternoon’s it is used by smaller groups of children and as a space for our SEN children. It is also where our After School Club Sessions take place.
